Welcome
We cordially invite you to join us at a future club meeting to see for yourself what Kiwanis is all about and if the Kiwanis Club of Webster is the club for you.
Meetings are held at 7:30 PM every Tuesday evening at Hedges Restaurant, located at 1290 Lake Road in Webster, New York unless otherwise noted. Please check the calendar for location changes.
What is Kiwanis?
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. As a group, these volunteers can achieve what they cannot do alone. These men and women attend Kiwanis club meetings of fellowship and inspiration. Kiwanis is not a social club nor a secret or political society. It does not prescribe a way of life for others. It often does, however, act as a forum of diverse ideas.
What it means to be a Kiwanian
Through Kiwanis membership, individuals can give of themselves - their experience, knowledge, time, and love - to those who need it the most. Kiwanians can work for a way of life in which they believe. As members of a local club, members have the opportunity to:
- Make business and professional contacts
- Learn first-hand about local, national, and international issues
- Improve and use leadership skills
- Participate in the life of their community and world
- Develop lifelong friendships
President's Challenge
We all joined Kiwanis for many reasons. The reason all of us share is our desire to help others. In order for that to happen, regardless if we're helping someone in Webster or someone on the other side of the world, we need the support of the community. For us to get the help of our community we need to be known in our community. How do we do that.
We start by making ourselves better known in the community. There are many ways to do that. The first step we're going to take is by taking pride in our organization. We want our friends, family, neighbors, employers, employees, associates, anyone we come across that we are members of Kiwanis. We need to display that fact by wearing our membership pin, hats, shirts, and jackets. We need to display the Kiwanis logo where we work or on our cars. You never know when you'll meet someone that has been a member or was in Circle K, Key Club, or Builder's Club. When someone asks you what is Kiwanis and what do we do we should all be ready to answer.
